Hackaday | Belgrade // Teaser Page
For the purpose of the Hackaday | Belgrade conference, we have created an interactive teaser page, inspired by the conference logo as well as the aesthetics of New Tendencies, one of the early Computer Arts movements, active in this area between 1961-1973.
Interactive grid features many "easter eggs" including different types of cellular automata, as well as ways to change the logic according to which it responds to user actions. This encourages the visitor to discover ways in which simple rules can lead to complex systems and what is the role of external influence in zero-player games.
This is a first in a series of projects exploring the role of low-resolution information representations in the context of modern high-resolution displays and potential for mixing of two media to enable efficient visualization of large data sets.
